RBR Heads To Dover Seeking Kansas Redemption

After some near misses in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series first three races of the 2016, Ricky Benton Racing's Enterprises (RBR) and Parker Kligerman's luck ran out at Kansas Speedway.

After moving forward from the 18th starting position, Kligerman found himself with no way to take evasive action when John Hunter Nemechek and John Wes Townley made contact sending Townley's truck down the track into the path of the No. 92  BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/Solid Rock Carriers/Advance Auto Parts/Valvoline Ford.

"It is really a shame," Kligerman said. "We had a truck capable of finishing in the top 10. I hate it for these guys. They have worked so hard to get these trucks ready for this stretch of three straight races and to have this truck destroyed may be a setback for our plans."

Kligerman's impact was one of the hardest recorded by NASCAR's data recorders this season at 62 Gs.

"I am very thankful for the safety improvements that NASCAR has made and for the safe trucks that this team has built," Kligerman said.

Despite the setback at Kansas, Kligerman and RBR are heading to Dover International Speedway, a facility that the driver considers his home track, this weekend for the Dover 200.

"This was a race that we have had on our schedule since Daytona," said team owner Ricky Benton. "(Crew chief) Mike (Hester) and (tire specialist and the team's other full-time employee) worked tirelessly over the break after Martinsville to get the truck ready and we are ready to go."

The driver is happy to be back behind the wheel so soon.

"After a tough week at Kansas, it is good to not have another long layoff," Kligerman said, "and it's even better to be heading to Dover, which is in my top-three favorite racetracks. It is also one of the closest to my home, so I will have a lot of friends and family there.

"I can't thank Black's Tire, Solid Rock Carriers, Advance Auto Parts and Valvoline for all they have done to help us get to Dover this week.

This week's truck:
RBR is bringing T4 from its stable for the Dover 200. Friday's race marks the first time this particular Ford F-150 has seen action in 2016.
