Team Falken Takes 1St In Class At Norra Mexican 1000 Rally

May 3, 2016

Falken Tires earned its second first place trophy in the NORRA Mexican 1000 four-day rally held last week by winning the Evolution Unlimited Class with Team Brenthel.

The National Off-Road Racing Association race returned to its roots from April 24-27, and drivers Jonathan and Jordan Brenthel, running on Falken’s WILDPEAK A/T, grabbed the victory in the Evolution Unlimited class which consists of modern race cars and UTVs.

Though the race – a fully supported on-road/off-road rally, open to both vintage and modern vehicles – is commonly referred to as the NORRA Mexican 1000, teams actually cover 1,400 miles over the four days of competition.

This was Falken’s second class win, having earned first in the vintage class two years ago.

“The enthusiasm shown – as always – by Jonathan and Jordan characterizes the incredible spirit that exists among off-roaders – and racers in general,” stated Steve Wong, Team Falken’s Supervisor of Motorsports & Events.  “This was a great rally; well-organized and incredibly exciting.  Being back in victory circle only adds to the compliments of what the team did and what our WILDPEAK tires can do.”
