New Brigadier passenger, LT tires available from Independent Tire Sales

June 13, 2002

Independent Tire Sales announces the addition of two Brigadier brand LT tires and two passenger tire lines.

The Sidewinder SUV light truck tire is available in 19 P-metric and three LT sizes. It has outlined white letters, is M&S-rated for all-season performance, has a computerized tread design for a smooth, quiet ride and is rated 500 AB for long mileage and optimum wet and dry traction.

It replaces the Sidewinder AP and Sidewinder AS designs.

The new Sidewinder All Terrain will be available in two P-metric, four flotation and nine LT sizes. It has an aggressive tread pattern with interlocking tread blocks for traction in mud, sand and snow. The computerized tread design minimizes highway noise and the aggressive shoulder design resists gouging, chipping and tearing, the company says. It also has outlined white letter styling and will be available in September or October. It will replace the Sidewinder AT.

Independent Tire Sales also is introducing the Brigadier Minerva Star and Minerva Super tire lines. They are available with T and H ratings in 70-, 65- and 60-series sizes. Eventually, 55-, 50-, 45- and 40-series sizes will be added to complete the line, the company says.

Brigadier tires are a private brand of Continental Tire North America. The Minerva line is made in several Continental factories in Europe. Independent Tire Sales will ship the Minerva tires from its Gainseville, Ga., mixing warehouse as part of the Brigadier program, the company says.
