Kauffman Tire Inc. is moving its corporate headquarters to Sandy Springs, Ga., an area north of Atlanta in Fulton County.
The new office space is just over 25,000 square feet located at 3 Glenlake Parkway in Sandy Springs. Kauffman says the space will feature a modernized layout and will be welcoming for visitors as well as associates.
The office is expected to move by Summer 2016, and it will involve all of what Kauffman calls its "corporate support center." The center houses the executive leadership team, human resources, finance and accounting, information technology, accounts payable, purchasing, inventory management, real estate and other support departments.
The current headquarters location in Ellenwood, Ga., will remain a distribution center and training facility for associates, and the extra space there will allow Kauffman Tire to expand its capabilities in those areas, the company says.
“This gives our company an opportunity to continue to support the ongoing needs for future initiatives to grow our company,” says Mark Kauffman, CEO and president of Kauffman Tire.
The company says the new location is ideal for its visibility and recruitment.
Since 1975, Kauffman Tire’s corporate support center has been located in the Atlanta area. The tire dealership includes 57 retail locations in Georgia and Florida as well as 14 distribution centers in seven states. Kauffman Tire is No. 21 on the Modern Tire Dealer 100.
