Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. has named new general managers for its overseas tire sales planning and overseas technical service departments.
Masato Furukawa will serve as general manager of the overseas tire technical service department, leaving the managerial position in the tire technical service department.
Hiroyuki Ohta will become general manager of the tire overseas sales planning department. Ohta replaces Tatsuo Mitsuhata in that role. Mitsuhata will remain a corporate officer and general manager of the tire planning division, tire business group, and also will remain chairman of Toyo Tire (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.
All of those changes are effective April 1, 2016.
On March 30, 2016, Takehiro Sakai will become general manager of the tire logistics department.
Additional tire-related personnel changes, effective April 1, 2016, include:
Makoto Sakamoto will be general manager of original equipment sales department No. 2;
Yasufumi Higashira will be general manager of tire supply chain administration department;
Yoichi Kawashima will be general manager of R.E. tire technical service department;
Toshihiro Miura will be general manager of the Kuwana Plant, DT Production Division, and president of Ayabe Toyo Rubber Co. Ltd. Miura previously was president of Toyo Soflan Co. Ltd.; and
Noboru Goshima will take over as president of Toyo Soflan Co. Ltd., and president of F.C.C. Co. Ltd.
