Gibson Brothers Win $75,000 in Nexen’s Next Level Sweepstakes

March 7, 2016

Nexen Tire America Inc. awarded Larry, Harold and Butch Gibson $75,000 in its 2015 fourth quarter Next Level Associate Dealer Program sweepstakes.

The brothers own two Gibson Brothers Tire and Alignment stores in Pulaski, Tenn., and have 10 employees.

The Gibson brothers' stores sold just over 100 Nexen tires in the fourth quarter to qualify for the sweepstakes. Nexen says the brothers overcame the odds and were selected for the grand prize, proving that all dealers of any size hold great opportunity to earn big dollars on the Next Level program.

The brothers are second-generation owners. Their father Clarence opened a shop selling recaps in 1960. When Larry, Harold and Butch took the business over three years later, they added retail tire sales. In 1986, they purchased an auto parts store and began selling parts to wholesale and retail customers in the Pulaski area.

A few years later they expanded the parts store, adding a shop for full-service auto repair and passenger and light truck tire sales. The original store their father opened now does light mechanical work only. All mechanics are ASE-certified. In addition, the dealership has four wreckers and provides 24/7 towing service for cars and trucks.

Larry and Harold traveled to Las Vegas for the Next Level sweepstakes event held at the Wynn Hotel on Feb. 27.

Nexen is continuing with its sweepstakes for 2016, but has changed the odds of the game in favor of earning more than the minimum $75,000 guaranteed prize. In 2016, the likelihood of winning $125,000 now outweighs the minimum prize 2 to 1.

The next sweepstakes will be held in early May with the winner being selected after the first quarter.
