Notes: Teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series will run different tire set-ups at Las Vegas this weekend. This is the first time Sprint Cup teams have run either of these two tire codes. The right-side tire incorporates Goodyear Racing’s multi-zone tread technology, which features two distinct tread compounds,  one for endurance and heat resistance on the inboard two inches of the tread and one for traction on the outboard 10 inches. Compared to what was run at Las Vegas last season, this right-side code (D-4690) features the same compound on the inboard, with a different compound for more grip on the outboard while the left-side tire code (D-4680) also features a compound change to give more grip.

Goodyear held a tire test at Las Vegas on January 12-13. The drivers participating in that test were Kurt Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski.
