Continental AG has named industry veteran T. Shawn Rasey to lead the international expansion of its earthmover business. The company has appointed Rasey global business development manager of the Continental Commercial Specialty Tires division.
He brings an extensive background in the earthmover tire business ranging from sales, marketing, key account management, product planning, manufacturing, and strategy.
Rasey joins Continental after an extensive career spanning more than 36 years in the OTR/earthmover tire industry. His career has included time in the manufacturing sector along with time at a large independent tire dealer.
Most of Rasey’s 35 years of experience in the tire industry has been dedicated to the construction and mining segments. His 20-year career with Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC included serving as vice president of mining solutions. He was president of Balkrishna Industries Ltd.’s (BKT) Americas OTR division from July 2014 to July 2015.
