Management Changes Will Include New CEO at Yokohama

The CEO of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. is stepping down.

Tadanobo Nagumo will continue serving as chairman of Yokohama, and also will remain a member of the board. The company says it will formally approve the change at its next shareholders meeting March 30, 2016.

At the same time the company will appoint four new members to the board:

Yasushi Kikuchi and Osamu Mikami will remain managing officers;

Shigeru Nakano will continue as an officer; and

Nobuo Takenaka, CEO and president of Misawa Homes Co. Ltd., will begin service to the board.

Additionally, Yokohama appointed five new officers: Shuichi Tsukada, Hitoshi Kobayashi, Jun Shimada, Takashi Shirokawa, and Tadaharu Yamamoto.

These three retired members of the board will take on the following new positions: Tooru Kobayashi, executive vice president; Fumio Morita, advisor; and Tetsuya Kuza, managing officer.

Two retired officers will take on these new positions: Sigeru Kagami, senior technical supervisor, and Kazuyuki Mineo, advisor.
