Hankook Takes Its Concept Tires to Germany

Jan. 25, 2016

Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. is showcasing its concept tires and matching footware, created in partnership with Vibram, during the ISPO Munich 2016 in Germany.

Hankook Tire exhibits at the international main exhibition, from Jan. 24-27, 2016,  its two off-road concept tires, the DynaMIX and DynaSYNC, which apply Vibram’s outsole design. The companies say the combination of their design and technological know-how has created innovative concepts in cross-industry collaboration. Hankook provided its first look at the concept tire in September 2015.

DynaMIX was made using two of the most important technologies praised by Vibram: the first, expressed through the iconic Vibram carrarmato design, ensures traction on rough terrains; the second is the Vibram 3D Cocoon, a nylon fiber molded in the tread that protects tires distributing the point of impact on a wider surface.

DynaSYNC was achieved by applying the design of geometric multi-directional lugs – already used on Vibram FiveFingers - that offer greater stability, traction and flexibility.

Vibram‘s DynaSTRYKE BKL and DynaTREK represent the two new Vibram shoes paired with the DynaMIX and DynaSYNC concept tires, respectively, as sister products.
