The January 2016 Facts Issue isn't on your desk yet, but it will be soon. And what an issue it is!
Modern Tire Dealer is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Facts Issue this year. From humble beginnings (the section was five pages long in 1966) it has grown into the most in-depth look at the tire industry you will find in one source. And it is the first look at the year that was, in this case, 2015.
Before it arrives in the mail, it will appear in digital form on www.moderntiredealer.com. Don't want to wait? MTD Editor Bob Ulrich teases about it in his latest blog.
Ulrich previews what you can expect from the 23-page special section (23 pages!? Did the MTD staff get any sleep?) and throws in plenty of facts (the average cost of a 215/55R17, for example) for good measure. At the very least, the information is highly entertaining.
