Jan. 5, 2016

Service Tire Truck Centers Inc. (STTC) has named Kris Harmes vice president of sales. In his new role, he will help STTC implement sales processes, strategically manage accounts and lead the sales department.

Harmes will lead a team of 70 sales personnel. STTC says he is third person to serve as its vice president of sales in more than 60 years.

“I’m delighted to welcome Kris to the STTC team,” says Walt Dealtrey, chief operating officer. “STTC is very fortunate to have someone with Kris’s leadership skills to manage and grow our sales team.”

Harmes has spent the past 11 years with Camso Inc., a long-time supplier of construction tires, rubber tracks and forklift tires to STTC. He has led Camso’s North American sales team for construction products since May 2013.

“I am very anxious to begin this new chapter in my life with STTC.  It is extremely important to me that we continue to carry forward the great traditions of STTC and perhaps along the way we’ll build on some new traditions as well,” Harmes said.

Founded in 1955 in Bethlehem, Pa., STTC provides a range of service offerings, including new tires and retreads, preventive tire maintenance programs 24/7/365 emergency road service, vehicle maintenance through its Service Tech division, earthmover tire services, and high quality wheel refinishing. The company operates 42 commercial outlets.

STTC is No. 7 on MTD’s 2015 list of top 25 commercial tire dealers.
