Car Care Council announces Women´s Board meeting

The Car Care Council Women’s Board will hold its annual winter meeting January 26-27, 2005, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nev.

The meeting will consist of a day and a half of strategic planning geared toward the development of female-focused industry programs, including the following:

* a "Meet a Member" presentation by Sue Ackley, president of the Automotive Oil Change Association;

* an update on the Be Car Care Aware campaign;

* a presentation by Trish Serratore of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence; and

* a discussion by Larry Silvey, group editorial director for Advanstar Automotive, of an upcoming research project on female consumers that Advanstar will be undertaking in 2005.

The Women’s Board is comprised of professional women and men, including motor-sports figures, service-shop owners, service writers, association and company executives and consultants, who are dedicated to informing female audiences about proper vehicle maintenance and safety, while encouraging young people to investigate automotive career choices.
