The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) has appointed Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.´s Tom Bender to its board of directors. Bender is director of information technology for Goodyear´s North American Tire division.
Bender has more than 30 years of experience in information technology at Goodyear. In his current role, he is responsible for information technology operations in the United States and Canada.
"His extensive experience in information technology will be beneficial to AIAG as we continue to develop standards and processes that improve the automotive industry," says Linda Plawecki, AIAG´s acting executive director.
The association´s board represents a cross-section of member companies from auto makers, truck manufacturers and suppliers.
