Graham Tire ´enthusiastic´ about future opportunities

Nov. 23, 2004

"Business was up (in 2004) over a record year in 2003," Jim Hamilton, general manager of Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Graham Tire Co., recently told moderntiredealer.com.

The 22-location dealership´s total sales have grown, says Hamilton, who expects more of the same in 2005.

Next year, Graham Tire -- which is owned by Tom and Bob Graham -- will place "high focus on mechanical (service) sales. We see the tire market at the consumer end as (experiencing) a 3% to 5% increase."

The 52-year-old company also will explore new opportunities like nitrogen tire fill for passenger tires and polyfill for OTR tires. "I think nitro is the wave of the future," says Hamilton.

Graham Tire achieved $64 million in sales last year. It´s the 62nd largest independent tire store chain in North America, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.

The company held its managers´ meeting last week in Sioux Falls.
