Tirecraft raises money for breast cancer research

Nov. 9, 2004

Last month, Tirecraft locations across Canada united to increase awareness and support for breast cancer research. Thanks to 1,300 participating employees, families, friends, business associates and customers, the stores raised more than $60,000 for the cause.

Many of Tirecraft’s locations across Canada participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure held on October 3. For those stores unable to access a Run for the Cure site, many held their own events.

“We are truly gratified and inspired by the efforts made by many of our stores in coordinating their own event," said David Cosco, president, Tirecraft Auto Centers. "Our Outlook, Saskatchewan, store alone had over 150 participants at their event.

"We are looking forward to continuing with these efforts in support of breast cancer research. The momentum and support generated through our stores has established a great foundation which we will continue to build upon in hope of finding a cure.”
