BFNT teams up with Toys for Tots

Beginning this year, designated independent and company-owned Bridgestone Firestone retail stores will act as drop-off points for toys, books and other gifts for needy yet deserving children as part of the Toys for Tots program.

Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) has entered into a three-year, nationwide sponsorship in support of the good works performed by the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation.

“This is a cause we can all rally around to make a difference and ensure as many children as possible have a happy holiday season. BFNT has pledged to support the efforts of our United States Marine Corps Reserve in making a difference in the lives of children,” said John Gamauf, president, Consumer Replacement Tire, BFNT.

“Last year the organization was instrumental in touching the lives of 6.5 million needy children in 456 communities across America during the holiday season. With the help of our incredible Family Channel, I believe we can serve even more children in more communities,” said Mark Emkes, chairman and CEO of BFNT and its parent company, Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc.

“During my tenure, I would like nothing better than for our company and our partners to be well known for giving back to the communities in which we do business. It the right thing to do, and it allows us to build positive relationships on a grassroots level,” Emkes said.
