Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is expanding its Assurance TripleTred tire line by three sizes.
The new sizes, P225/50R16, P185/70R14 and P205/55R16, will fit vehicles like the Oldsmobile Alero, Pontiac Grand Am, Chrysler Sebring, Mitsubishi Galant and Nissan Altima, according to Bob Toth, Goodyear´s marketing manager for auto tires.
"These new sizes are our commitment to Goodyear retailers and consumers. They have embraced the Assurance tire line, and have asked us for more offerings, in order to enjoy the product benefits on more potential vehicles."
The TripleTred line initially was launched in 13 mostly T-rated sizes at the 2004 Goodyear Dealer Meeting in February. The TripleTred and its sister tire, Assurance ComforTred, have sold three times more than Goodyear projected, says the company.
