Chinese tiremaker Giti Tire will start producing summer tires for Nokian Tyres plc this month.
The tires will mainly be sold in North America, according to Nokian officials.
Target production for 2005 is 500,000 units, "and volume will be gradually increased up to 1.5 million tires."
