Raben selects Michelin for new retread plant

Evansville, Ind.-based Raben Tire Co. will use Michelin Retread Technologies Inc.´s (MRTI) retread process at its new plant, which will be built in Haubstadt, Ind.

"With the addition of Michelin retreads to our existing line-up of Bandag and Goodyear retread offerings, our customers will have the benefit of valuable options to satisfy their needs," says Raben Tire President Tom Raben.

The new facility will have the ability to retread Michelin´s X One wide base truck tire, according to MRTI officials.

Raben Tire currently has three retread plants that produce a combined 325 medium truck tire retreads per day, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.

The company is the 43rd largest retreader in the United States.
