April 29, 2002

Bridgestone/Firestone Americas Holding Inc.'s (BFAH) sales in the Americas will total $7.7 billion this year, according to BFAH Chairman, CEO and President John Lampe.

"We're targeting to be profitable for the full year," Lampe told dealers last week at BFAH's BizCon meeting in New Orleans, La. "I'm pleased about where we are in relation to that target."

BFAH parent company Bridgestone Corp. expects its 2002 post-tax net profit to total $520 million, up from $132 million in 2001.
