Tread rubber shipments in 2004 will increase 3.1% over last year´s levels, according to the Rubber Manufacturers Association´s (RMA) Tread Rubber Market Analysis Committee.
Shipments this year will produce approximately 16.8 million retreaded tires in the United States, say RMA officials.
"Fueled by positive freight trends, this growth is expected to continue through 2006 at an annual rate of 2.2%."
