Pep Boys will hold conference call

Pep Boys -- Manny, Moe & Jack will post its 2004 second-quarter financial results on Thursday, August 12.

That same day, the company also will hold a conference call at 8:30 a.m. EST for analysts and investors. Participating in the call will be Pep Boys CEO Larry Stevenson, President and CFO George Babich, and Chief Accounting Officier and Treasurer Bernie McElroy.

Pep Boys recorded sales of $566 million during the first quarter, 10.8% more than the same period last year. Its net earnings from continuing operations improved from a net loss of $7.3 million to net earnings of $16.1 million.

Pep Boys´ stock price closed at $20.70 on the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, July 30. That compares to a 52-week high and low of $29.38 and $14.05, respectively.
