As part of a new SkyMiles program, Delta Air Lines Inc. is awarding 2,500 miles to any SkyMiles member who purchases four Michelin consumer tires.
The special program, in conjunction with Michelin North America Inc., requires buying the set of tires from any Michelin retailer in the United States through Nov. 15, 2004.
"This partnership with Michelin is the first of its kind for airline loyalty programs," says Christine Pierce, Delta's director of partnership marketing. "We're continually expanding the many ways our members can earn miles toward award travel while purchasing everyday products and services."
To receive the bonus miles, SkyMiles members must mail either the original receipt or a copy of the receipt for four Michelin passenger or light truck tires to Delta. A brief form -- which can be found on michelinman.com/delta -- also needs to be filled out and returned.
