Portland, Ore.-based Northwest Tire Factory LLC has secured a warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah, that will serve as its second distribution center.
The leased 45,000-square-foot facility will ship to Northwest Tire Factory members in Utah, plus Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming and other adjacent states.
It will hold 60,000 passenger, light truck, industrial and other tires at capacity, according to Northwest Tire Factory CEO Nick Hodel.
"It will be a satellite distribution center to supplement (our) Portland warehouse," he says.
"We take possession (of the building) in August."
The distribution group also has added several members within the last six months, bringing its membership roster to 160 tire dealers with 180 locations overall.
Northwest Tire Factory has members in 10 western states.
