Michelin to extend OnWay program

June 7, 2004

Groupe Michelin's France-based OnWay program -- which offers tire assistance, warranties and help with directions to hotels and other accomodations to motorists who buy a Michelin tire -- is being extended to other European countries.

The program, which was rolled out in September 2003, is available round-the-clock and is free of charge.

"Michelin is combining product performance with follow-up service incorporated into the mission of the company: to contribute to mobility," say Michelin officials.

"We don't just want to sell tires; we also want to assist customers on the road and listen and respond to their needs."
