BFG co-sponsors fishing promotion

Michelin North America Inc.'s (MNA) BFGoodrich brand is co-sponsoring the "Casting Smiles-Fishing with Kids" program in conjunction with Wal-Mart and FLW Outdoors.

The program stages fishing activities for children and their families and teaches fundamentals of the sport like casting and reeling.

It is designed "to help parents introduce their children to a fun outdoor activity that the entire family can enjoy," according to Wal-Mart officials.

"Fishing is a sport that draws more than 52 million people to the water each year," says BFGoodrich Tires Brand Director Thom Peebles.

"Casting Smiles is an excellent opportunity for BFGoodrich Tires to support an important customer like Wal-Mart."

MNA, through its BFG brand, has supported the FLW Outdoors professional fishing series for several years.
