Cooper Tire names new director of advertising

April 29, 2004

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named David Craig director of advertising for North America. His promotion will take effect May 1.

Craig's new assignment comes on the heels of a major realignment within Cooper's tire group. The company says the moves were designed to help it "better focus on target markets, support the company's strategic plan and ensure the right resources are in place to grow the tire business globally."

"Cooper's advertising efforts have increased substantially in recent years, culminating with an unprecedented multi-million dollar national TV and print campaign this year," says Carl Casalbore, vice president of marketing and retail sales.

"Dave will undoubtedly do well in continuing strategic media buying in niche markets to significantly increase the reach and frequency of Cooper Tire's 'Don't Give Up A Thing' theme with key consumers of high performance and SUV and light truck products."

Craig joined Cooper in 1993 as a territory sales manager in the international sales department. He most recently served as manager of associated brand advertising and communications.
