Recent rumors of a major fire at one of Hankook Tire Co. Ltd.'s manufacturing plants in South Korea are exaggerated, according to a Hankook official.
"A small fire at one of Hankook Tire’s factories in South Korea March 11 resulted in minimal damage to materials or facilities," says Jack Kim, chief operating officer for Hankook Tire America Corp.
"No one was injured in the fire, no production facilities were affected, and deliveries to dealers were not interrupted in any way."
