Hunter gets approval from Volkswagen

March 8, 2004

Hunter Engineering Co.'s DSP600 digital imaging alignment sensors recently were approved for aftermarket use by Volkswagen AG.

Volkswagen said the sensors, which will be available in all Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and SEAT dealership service shops worldwide, complied with its strict alignment measurement standards.

The patented alignment system uses digital imaging technology. The four-camera system "projects a wide field of view to continuously monitor wheel target positions and orientation over a range of alignment lift heights," said Hunter.

The targets do not need to be calibrated, added the company.
