Handschuh leaves NAPA for AutoZone

Steve Handschuh has been named vice president of AutoZone's AZ Commercial unit.

Handschuh had been president of NAPA Auto Parts, which he joined 17 years ago.

He also becomes a member of AutoZone's executive committee and will report to AutoZone Chairman, CEO and President Steve Odland.

In related news, Mike Longo, current vice president of store operations for AZ Commercial and ALLDATA, has been promoted to senior vice president of Auto Zone.

Brad Bacon, vice president and general manager of store operations, has been named senior vice president of store operations.

"AZ Commercial is the fastest growing part of AutoZone's business," say AutoZone officials.

AutoZone has 3,259 stores in 48 states, plus 50 in Mexico. It also sells ALLDATA diagnostic and repair software.
