March 21, 2002

Langley, British Columbia-based O.K. Tire Stores Inc. has voted Jean Trudel to replace Al Santig as its board chairman.

Santig did not seek re-election in order to pursue "other interests." He had served on the board since 1989.

Lee Shaw of Thornbury/Clarksburg, Ontario, also has been elected to the distribution group's board. Shaw is O.K. Tire Stores' first female board member.

O.K. Tire Stores recently wrapped up its annual conference in Phoenix, Ariz.

Next year's conference, the company's 50th, will be held March 8-12 at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, British Columbia.

O.K. Tire Stores is the seventh largest tire distribution network in North America with 215 franchises, according to Modern Tire Dealer data. Last year it reported more than $250 million in sales.
