Penske Truck Leasing has extended its supply agreement with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. at least through 2007.
Under the terms of the agreement, Goodyear will serve as Penske's primary tire supplier in North America for the next four years. That includes both new and retreaded truck tires.
Penske named Goodyear one of its "suppliers of the year" in 2003.
"Goodyear has helped us reduce our overall tire costs, and we have been extremely satisfied with the service provided," says Marc Althen, vice president of administration and facilities for Penske Truck Leasing.
Penske Truck Leasing, a leading global transportation services provider, is a joint venture between Penske Corp. and General Electric. The company operates approximately
200,000 vehicles worldwide.
