Groupe Michelin plans to add capacity to its earthmover tire plant in Lexington, S.C., according to an Associated Press report.
While Groupe Michelin Chairman and CEO Edouard Michelin confirmed that capacity will be added at the factory, the report says, he did not discuss expansion size or when it will occur.
The Lexington earthmover tire manufacturing plant, which opened in 1998, can produce 400 earthmover tires per day at capacity, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
A Michelin spokesman declined comment when asked about the development by moderntiredealer.com.
