Toyo Tires (U.S.A.) Corp. has launched its Proxes line of drag slicks and free-rolling tires.
The company says the free-rolling tires in sizes 25.0X4.5-15 and 26.0X4.5-15 are perfect for “door slammers,” have a 4.3-inch tread width, weigh as little as 10 pounds each, and are compounded to give extremely low rolling resistance.
Toyo’s Proxes Drag Slicks are available in three sizes: 32.0X14.5-15, 33.0X16.0-15 and 33.0X17.0-15. These new sizes are geared for Super Comp, Super Gas, Comp Eliminator and all other cars that meet those size requirements, the company says.
According to Hideki Ueha, senior staff engineer and product manager, racing and high performance tires, “We have designed the Proxes Drag Slicks to be very competitive and consistent out of the box. Several new sizes are also in development.”
