"We anticipate light truck replacement tire sales to grow 5% over the next several years" across the industry, John Soule, category manager, SUV/light truck tires, Michelin North America Inc. recently told moderntiredealer.com.
Even though sales of full-size SUVs are down, "the light truck tire market is still growing," says Soule.
"By 2008, light truck tire lines will likely surpass mass-market, entry-level tires. And (the) recreational light truck tire (segment) is where this growth is coming from."
