Richard Lapointe, national sales manager, Canada, for Treadways Corp., died suddenly while attending the 2005 SEMA show.
Lapointe, 57, began his tire career with Sumitomo Corp. in 1974. He lived in Quebec, Canada, and is survived by his wife, Ghislaine; daughter, Julie; and son, Patrick.
