Brityrex International 2007, to be held at the G-MEX Exhibition Centre in Manchester, England, from May 1-3, 2007, has confirmed 25% of its total square footage.
"Our advance bookings for the 2007 event show great interest from equipment manufacturers -- and not just tire changers and balancers, but sophisticated testing and diagnostic equipment, as well as new areas such as air-conditioning servicing," says Paul Farrant, managing director of the show's organizer, ECI International Ltd.
This, he believes, is indicative of a changing outlook among many tire dealerships, garages and fast-fits, which are seeking new profit opportunities. "While tires remain their core business, an increasing number of retailers are looking to add value by exploring new avenues."
Farrant adds that equipment suppliers are expected to make up a significant number of exhibitors for the 2007 show.
