Trelleborg: 'Pirelli ag brand is growing'

"The Pirelli (farm tire) brand is growing at a very rapid pace," Bill Haney, central district manager, ag tires, for Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc. has told moderntiredealer.com.

Trelleborg Wheel System Americas' parent company, Trelleborg Wheel Systems SpA, introduced the Pirelli farm tire brand to the North American market in 2001.

Haney reports that both tire dealers and farmers have accepted the Pirelli ag label.

Trelleborg positions the Pirelli brand and its namesake Trelleborg brand as equals.

The Trelleborg brand enjoys 1% of the domestic replacement radial rear and bias rear ag tire markets, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.

It also occupies 1% of the original equipment bias rear ag tire market and a half-percent of the OE small farm market.
