TIA announces health benefits program

Oct. 26, 2005

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will offer health benefit programs to its members as part of its new TIA-Care initiative.

TIA-Care will include a partially self-funded major medical plan for members with more than 15 employees, plus a mini-medical plan for all of its members.

The mini plan is a traditional insurance program that provides benefits for basic health services only, according to TIA officials.

The plans will be administered by New Jersey-based Triveris, which "has a highly successful track record of lowering and stabilizing health benefit expense by improving the quality of care (that) plan members receive," say TIA officials.

Triveris representatives will be available to speak with TIA members at next week's SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show. To schedule a meeting, TIA recommends calling Triveris at (732) 676-2637, ext. 226.
