Goodyear prepares to release 3Q results

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will report third-quarter 2005 financial results before the market opens on Thursday, Oct. 27. An investor conference call will follow at 10 a.m. EDT the same day.

Participating in the conference call will be Robert Keegan, chairman, CEO and president; Richard Kramer, executive vice president and chief financial officer; and Darren Wells, senior vice president, business development, and treasurer. They will review Goodyear's third-quarter results.

Shareholders, members of the media and other interested persons may access the conference call on the Web site or via telephone by calling (706) 634-5954 before 9:55 a.m. Thursday. A taped replay of the conference call will be available at 2 p.m. that day by calling (706) 634-4556. The call replay also will remain available on the Web site.

Goodyear reported net income of $69 million on record sales of $5 billion for the second quarter ended June 30, 2005.

Goodyear's stock was selling for $13.74 a share at the close of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, Oct. 24. That compares to a 52-week high and low of $18.59 and $9.15, respectively.
