Kumho Tire Co. Inc. is expanding the size lineup for its Ecsta SPT UHP tire.
Debuted earlier this year in 36 sizes, the Ecsta SPT will be available in 13 new sizes in November. The new sizes include: 205/50R17, 215/35R19, 215/40R18, 225/35R19, 225/35R20, 245/50R16, 275/30R20, 275/35R18, 275/40R17, 275/40R18, 285/40R17, 245/35R19 and 245/35R20.
The SPT is the successor to the Ecsta Supra 712. Its tread design provides a comfortable ride, low noise and optimum handling and wet grip. The center rib provides high speed stability and has rounded shoulders for even wear. The Ecsta logo is etched in the rib.
Asymmetric grooves also provide stability at speed while providing water evacuation to resist hydroplaning. A silica compound improves maximum dry and wet grip, while high tensile steel belts and a jointless nylon full cap ply reduce noise while improving comfort and durability.
Kumho's RWI technology enables consumers to easily determine when the tires need to be rotated or aligned, the company added.
