ASA introduces new products at dealer meeting
ASA Tire Systems recently hosted its 8th annual InfoExpo Client Conference in Tucson, Ariz., with record attendance. Nearly 600 independent tire dealer locations from the United States and Canada were represented.
Among the guests were the company's newest members: the TireMaster client base.
"This was the best conference I've attended so far, and I've been to many," says Whitney Thomas of Foree Tire Co. in Denver, Colo. "I was so glad that the ASA programming staff was there; to meet the people who write the programs was very important.
"I arrived with questions, and they already had the answers for me. The user group meetings were very helpful and the legislative information session with TIA topped off a great week."
Attendees had the chance to see and try new products and participate in live demonstrations of the newest evolutions of TreadX, ASA's graphical software solution. New TreadX innovations include the following:
* a partnership and interface to Mitchell 1. With the Mitchell 1 interface, customers using ASA's TreadX software instantly can enter the Mitchell1 OnDemand5 Estimator and Repair software, quickly get parts and labor information, and, with one click, bring the data directly back into TreadX for quoting.
* an add-on module, TireBrands, which provides instant access from inventory to tire images, features and benefits, tire lines and specs to TreadX users. TireBrands saves time, builds credibility, and provides information to help sell more, according to the company.
Other new products included a hand-held mobile software suite of efficient wireless systems for inventory and other business operations; version two of Analytix, ASA's Business Intelligence software; and the latest in laser form printing technology with Intellipress.
For Jim Bernardini, senior vice president of Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers Inc. in High Ridge, Mo., ASA's InfoExpo meets two great needs. "I am able to network with other tire dealers who are using the same product I use at Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers, (and) I can see what they are doing with the product at their store and learn from them ways to maximize my technology investment."
