Michael Cox, CEO and president of the Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC, and Chris and Chip Fausak, owners of Fausak Tires & Service, have announced the formation of a relief fund drive for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
"The members and owners of the Independent Tire Dealers Group (ITDG) are joining forces with their newest member, Fausak Tires and Service of Mobile, Ala., to raise funds to help those individuals in the Mobile area that have been effected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina," says Cox. "Our members will be making pledges and donations to support those families and individuals that have been so adversely impacted."
The funds will be forwarded to Fausak Tires & Service, which will act as the administrator.
"We have been a part of this community since 1962 when our father opened his first tire store," said Chris and Chip Fausak in a joint statement. "This is our opportunity to give back to those that have supported us over the many years.
"It's great to belong to an organization like ITDG that supports its members in situations like this."
