Alliance hits record 2Q numbers

Alliance Tire Co.'s second quarter sales totaled $40.9 million, a record for the company. Last year, Alliance achieved $31.5 million in sales during the second quarter.

Alliance's net income during the second quarter of 2005 was $4.6 million, a 278% jump from the same period in 2004.

In North America, the Hadera, Israel-based specialty tiremaker's sales were $13.2 million versus $8.5 million during 2Q 2004.

Alliance Chairman Israel Tchetchik says the company's growth was powered by its marketing efforts and product mix.

In North America, "we have found a niche in flotation and radial tires for export," says Alliance President Joseph Anglister.
