Pirelli & Cie SpA intends to position itself in the "high range" tire market in China, according to Pirelli officials.
To help achieve that goal, the Italian tiremaker recently announced it will outfit two Ferrari 612 Scagliettis with its P Zero Rosso and Winter Sottozero ultra-high performance tires.
The cars will embark on a tour of China that begins next week.
"Pirelli has agreed to support Ferrari in this undertaking due to the ever-increasing importance of the Chinese market to the company."
