Toyo Tires has signed as the presenting sponsor of the American Century Championship Celebrity-Amateur Golf Tournament to take place July 12-17 at the Edgewood Golf Course in Lake Tahoe, Nev.
The tournament, now in its 16th year, has a $500,000 prize purse and features more than 78 celebrity players including such sports legends as six-time NBA Champion Michael Jordon, NFL Super Bowl MVP John Elway, and 14-time Tennis Grand Slam Champion Pete Sampras.
In addition, former U.S. Vice President Dan Quayle will compete with celebrities such as Donald Trump and entertainers Ray Romano and Cheryl Ladd.
The tournament will be televised on The Golf Channel on Friday, July 15, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET. NBC will air the event Saturday, July 16, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET and on Sunday, July 17, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
