Dunlop Drivers Cup comes to America

The 2006 Dunlop Drivers Cup will take place next April in the United States, according to Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. officials.

The event -- once reserved for European drivers -- will include racetrack, autocross, off-road SUV, off-road all-terrain vehicle and motorcross races.

Two-person teams from the U.S., Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Romania, Belgium and the Netherlands are scheduled to compete.

Last year's Drivers Cup was held in Italy.
