Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s new Avon Tech RA racing tire will be available through The Tire Rack later this week.
The Tech RA "is designed to reduce times by blending great dry traction with improved steering response and cornering stability without a reduction in tread wear," says Julian Baldwin, motorsport director for Avon Tyres Racing.
The tire, which is street legal, will come in six sizes: 205/55R14, 205/50R15, 225/45R15, 225/50R16, 225/45R17 and 275/40R17.
Cooper's Avon Tyres USA subsidiary builds the Tech RA exclusively for The Tire Rack.
