Federal Corp. has named Henry Lin its vice president of sales and marketing.
A 25-year tire industry veteran, Lin most recently served as vice president of domestic sales at Federal's plant in Jiang Xi, China.
He has held a variety of positions in Federal's domestic sales, planning, internal control and other departments.
Lin says he wants to boost Federal's market share, expand and diversify its distribution channels, and build its dealer network.
Federal's shipments during March reached a record high.
Total shipment value from Federal’s Taiwan factory alone reached $11 million, a company record.
"Several factors contributed to this phenomenal performance," say Federal officials.
"Despite full capacity utilization rates in the Taiwan plant, through improved efficiency, Federal was able to raise total capacity output and squeeze out another 5%.
"Shipment content was also a major contributing factor as Federal shipped out a much higher ratio of performance tires in March."
Federal plans to boost capacity at both its Taiwan factory and Jiang Xi plant "to ease the current high back order level."
